Admissions - General Information
The Chandler CofE Junior School is a Voluntary Aided Own Admissions Authority (OAA) school, with a three form entry into Year 3. As an OAA school, The Chandler is responsible for applying its admission criteria, ranking the list of applicants and maintaining a waiting list.
Surrey County Council Admissions manages the application process and has a statutory duty to coordinate applications and allocations for Year 3 as part of the normal admissions new round, and also processes in-year applications for all years on the school’s behalf.
All applications for a school place should be made directly through Surrey County Council Admissions using their Centrally Managed Application form ('CMA').
Primary School Applications - Year 3 September 2025 entry
From 4 November 2024, parents/carers who live in Surrey will be able to apply for a primary school place. Applicants can apply online at:
The closing date for Year 3 applications is 15 January 2025. Applications submitted after this date will be considered as late, unless they could not reasonably have been submitted by the closing date and are submitted by 12 February 2025. Applications must be returned directly to the child's home local authority and not the school.
On 16 April 2025, applicants who applied online will receive the outcome of their application by email. Applicants who have opted to receive a notification through the app 'ParentComms' or the eAdmissions website will also receive a notification with the outcome of their application. Letters will be sent via first class post to applicants who applied on paper and do not have an email address.
By 30 April 2025, applicants will be asked to accept or decline their offer online, or if they have made a paper application, by returning the paper reply slip to the School Admissions team.
